Do you ever wonder why your barbecue ribs, you grilled, is still on the picnic table? Your family just deserted you and headed for next doo neighbor's cook out.Maybe the ribs could be can of hard to chew or just tough. Have you ever tried to make bbq ribs like the ones you purchase at a barbecue joint or at your friends outdoor picnic. Here are ideas to think about. 1. Brining causes meat to accept moisture before cooking and helps to retain moisture during cooking. Brining is basically a concentratation of salt and sugar within a liquid. Other flavors can be added, but not really needed. 2. Marinating is the best way to add flavor to meats. Injecting the marinade into the meat helps to get flavor throughout. It is best not to baste your meat with of the marinade used on the raw meat. Here is a simple recipe you can use. 2 cups of aapple juice 2/3 cup of Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp Texas Pete hot sauce 2 tbsp Moore's Marinade Rubs are spice mixes appied to meats to flavor and cure them before you put them on th grill. This is a secret used by a lot guys out there. Here is a recipe that I think you will like. It is called a mustard bbq Sauce. It is a yellow mustard and vinegar based BBQ sauce. Sometimes a little ketchup is added to it. 4 cups yellow mustard 8 ounces of beer 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar 8 tbsp brown sugar 1/2 cup of tomato puree 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp cayenne 1 tbsp fresh cracked black pepper 2 tsp salt 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder Heat all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat and mix well.
